A warm welcome to new members - Amir, Juliana, Malavika, Omar, Punitha and Steven. Great to have you join us and wishing you all the best in achieving your public-speaking goals!!
Omar, haven't seen you for the last 2 meetings, hope you'll be able to make it for the next one (before I return to India). Shobha, Anita, Sabrina - misssing you lovely ladies! Do try to make it for the next one.
Well, the elections of the exco went on smoothly. Highlights were the mini-political-rally type speeches given by the nominees for the Secretary's post. Patricia, that was one of the best impromptu speeches I have ever heard you give! :)
Lourdes delivered his Icebreaker (for the 3rd time) and though I was hoping to 'roast' him with some fiery evaluation, I was sternly advised again this line of action by GE Reuben. Non-silent backbencher, Chandran (Yeah, I know... surprise, surprise, he actually made it to the meeting...) too was instigating me to 'draw blood' but alas.... I gave in to TI protocol and Lourdes was spared... sigh... Lourdes, I promise you, you haven't seen the last of my evaluations, yet... mua ha ha (evil laughter...)
Then we had two great speeches by Patricia (truly served the objective of inspiring us in a hearfelt manner) and Uma (who whet our appetites with her speech on food and has been advised not to show her face at the next meeting without bringing along some gulab jamuns for all the sweet-toothed. Gentle reminder this... :)
Certainly looking forward to attending the next meeting for more fun-filled growth.
Feel free to add or comment on this post. I know for a fact that Bangsarians are not just good speakers but writers as well...
