Meeting - 3rd Sept 2013

The meeting commenced at 7.29 pm with the ASA, Kent, calling the meeting to order.

Guests: Andrew San, Brandon Foo, Ian Tang, Chironjit, Petrine Yap, Sharmini, Francis Chong, Eng Liew, Kelvin Yee, Richard, Yeo Lee Chin, Chua Teik Soon, Afsha Hossairi, Low Jiong Lin, Harinvindran and Henry.

The Acting President, Ranjit, gave the Opening Speech. The theme of the meeting was "By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail" & word of the day was ‘Meticulous’

During the Introductions, Members and Guests were asked to share the failures they had in the past. Failures shared ranged from “ Failed to have social interaction with others”, “Failed to listen to inner voice”,”Failed to attend TM meeting earlier” & “Failed to plan for future and finance” . However, we also had someone who “failed to fail” and some enlightening sharing such as” failures shall be engaged as positive experiences and treated as lessons in life”.

TME, Reuben, took the baton to introduce the history of TM Club before introducing role players.

The Role players were:
General Evaluator – Chironjit
Grammarian – Lucky
Ah Counter – Anita
Timer - Kertar

Then the TME introduced the Table Topics Master, Ranjani, who invited 5 volunteer speakers:

Kelvin (guest)- Planning is a nightmare for me.
Gan (TM)- Planners are not borne, they are made.
Eng Liew(guest)- More planning is equivalent to less action.
Jiong (guest)- Fun and planning do not go well together.
Dinesh (TM)-The best thing that happened to me was planning.

The Table Topics Evaluator, Sharmini, gave her feedback which was positive as well as constructive. 

After a break of 10 minutes the ASA, Kent, called the meeting to order when TME, Reuben, introduced the Speakers Johnson, Lucky and Kent whose Evaluators were Elaine, Dinesh and Ranjit respectively. After the 3 speeches, the TME handed over the control to the GE, Chironjit, who invited the Evaluators one by one to present their evaluations. The Role players were invited to give their reports and then the GE presented his thoughts on the meeting conducted. Then the  control was given back to the TME.

The awards were presented to the “Best three”  of the evening:
